LETTER OF APPRECIATION
Liuetenant Neal Schaefer
Youth Academy (August 2009)
August 2009
From August 10th to August 14th, 2009, personnel of the Naples Police and Fire Department conducted the second session of the annual Youth Academy. This academy was a success due in part to the time taken by individual members of the department such as you taking time to share your knowledge with the youth of the community.
Congratulations on yet another successful Youth Academy provided by the dedicated members of our department.

Congratulations to Neal Schaefer who was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant earlier today. During a small ceremony held at Naples Police Headquarters, Chief Weschler presented Lt. Schaefer with his new shield. In addition to over 30 friends and colleagues, Lt. Schaefer’s family was in attendance, with his wife Caroline and sons Andrew and Peter pinning on his shield and collar insignia. Also in attendance was Lt. Schaefer’s father, Peter Schaefer.
Lt. Neal Schaefer will oversee the department’s Internal Affairs, CALEA Accreditation and Training Bureaus.

Hi Neal,
Congradulations!
Hope all is well. Great photos. Nice to see.
I visited with you mom and dad last Christmas season. It was a weird one with my dad passing in May 2008. I was able to take care of things with my mom’s ashes. The funeral home handled everything for me and their was no red tape. I think he just did not want her there.
The Elks had a reception for my dad. He was a trustee.
Best,
