he stated that your knowledge and positive demeanor was key to creating a program that is critical to the safety and welfare of the Island’s children. He advised that your professional manner clearly shows you to be an excellent asset to the City of Naples and the Naples Police Department.

Youth Academy (August 2009)

August 2009

From August 10th to August 14th, 2009, personnel of the Naples Police and Fire Department conducted the second session of the annual Youth Academy. This academy was a success due in part to the time taken by individual members of the department such as you taking time to share your knowledge with the youth of the community.

Congratulations on yet another successful Youth Academy provided by the dedicated members of our department.

Honor Guard Detail

June 2009

We received a copy of a letter to the Editor of the Naples Daily News written by Mr. Chase Walker. Mr. Walker wanted to say thank you to the members of the Naples Police Department Honor Guard for their participation in paying respects to his family member Mr. Robert Lopez. Robert Lopez was a civilian member of the department who recently passed away after a long illness.

Mr. Walker stated the Honor Guard and bagpipe player did an unbelievable job and that these men and women do a great service to the community and its citizens. He also stated the Honor Guard showed precision, execution and professionalism with the utmost compassion for the family.

Thank you for the good job you performed and the respect shown to the family during their time of need.

Seeing Eye Dog Training

June 2009

We received a letter from Ms. Kanach, who wanted to advise us of how much she appreciated your team assisting her seeing eye dog in training for the surprise element and stability with regard to the sound of gunshots.

She stated this is an integral part of training for Seeing Eye Dogs and will be beneficial for her public exposure and responsibility to her owner.

Naples High School JROTC Rehearsal Drill Meet

February 2009

We received a letter from Senior Army Instructor Parker, who wanted to thank you for your invaluable assistance during the Naples High School JROTC rehearsal Drill Meet conducted in December 2008.

He advised you served as a judge to help the cadets prepare for the drill meet. Your expertise in regulation drill enabled you to provide positive feedback to all regulation squads and platoons, both armed and unarmed . He stated you were professional, proficient and easily established rapport with the cadets. Some parents of the cadets had positive comments regarding your assistance to the cadets.

With your assistance, the Golden Eagle Battalion won the Collier County Drill Meet with a combined ten first places, two second places and three third places.
